DOLO-STEEL®
Raw dolomite provided to the steel-making industry as a fluxing agent
DOLO-STEEL® Overview
Dolomite is an anhydrous carbonate mineral, a double carbonate of calcium and magnesium (CaCO3.MgCO3). As such, it is an important raw material used in the production of iron and steel. It contains high levels of magnesium, coupled with low levels of SiO2 and Ai2O3.
DOLO-STEEL can be milled or crushed into various sizes depending on the application and can be produced in multiple AASHTO sizes of coarse aggregates.
Why DOLO-STEEL®?
- High level of magnesium
- Ideal raw dolomite for calcining and sintering
- Great as a fluxing agent
- Consistent in chemical composition
- Clean, well-graded aggregate
