Low Silica Mine Safety Dust

Low silica mine safety dust provides a safer mining environment

Mine Dust Overview

Dillon produces low silica mine safety dust to prevent mine explosions and cut down on harmful respirable particles in the coal mining industry. Dillon mills its dust from its own quarry at Swords Creek, Va., servicing mines in Virginia, West Virginia and southeastern Kentucky.

We maintain consistent quality because we own the mills and the deposit ensuring no contamination or combustible material is in the dust. In addition to standard Mine Safety Dust, we offer a patented blend especially for wet dust applications that allows the mixture to sit for extended periods of time between use.

Dust can be used dry/loose or mixed with water to form a slurry. Durable polybags are used for easy storage and handling, and products are stretch wrapped for protection against weather to ensure dryness.
